Dear Paul,
I wanted to write to you and express my gratitude for the great elk hunt and experience I had at the C Lazy U. Your attention to detail, knowledge of the area, elk movements and habits is next to none. Although, I was overwhelmed, at times at the ranch, your down to earth demeanor was much appreciated.
I have hunted elk in five different states on D.I.Y. hunts, drop camps, horseback hunts, ranch hunts in the past 40 years, but my experience at the C Lazy U will always be one that I will remember fondly, because of your friendly manner and great personality.
Also, one of your guides (I forget his name) was great. He helped pack out my elk, helped load it in my truck and packed it in ice. After being a State Game Warden for 30 years, it was a refreshing experience to have someone make sure I filled out my license correctly, attached it to my elk and send me on my way. Please thank him for me.
All in all, it was a great hunt and I am extremely satisfied with everything. If I can ever do anything for you in Northern Wisconsin, please give me a call.

I was hunting at the C Lazy U and my wife came along to enjoy the accommodations. Everything went great, the guides were great, Blane Miller was my guide and I enjoyed hunting with him and would personally ask for him again, all the guides were great, very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the stories. I really liked the complete focus the guides had to make sure everyone got an animal. As one hunter tagged out, the guide didn’t take the week off, he just helped someone else. Although my wife was the only none employee female in camp the guides treated her well and were very respectful. The staff was great and my wife continued to comment on how pleasant everyone was. The meals were incredible as was the wine pairings. I can only suggest a lighter option to the meals, the meals are a complement to your cooks, but not to my waistband. Paul Klees was who I interacted with concerning setting up the hunt, he was helpful, quick to respond, informative and I very professional. We will be back and thanks to everyone at the C Lazy U.
